IGT Winchester v Chichester

First matches on were Catherine Finlayson vs. Lauren Briggs, a rematch from PSL last season where Lauren won 3-0. Briggs quickly controlled the first two games but Finlayson stuck with it and the third game was much closer. After some gruelling and lengthy rallies, which saw both players stretching to all corners, Lauren’s strength closed out the match with an 11/7 finish.

The Return of The King

With a Winchester team needing points and a crowd standing over 130 in number needing a victory in style the return of Gregory Gaultier for the first time this season fresh from his weekend appearance on Sky Sports could not have been better timed. After Billy Kerr’s calm and professional introductions what unfolded during the evening changed the shape of Group B and left our team better placed than we were at this point last season.

The Launch of two careers and the re-launch of one!

After two narrow defeats in their first two games the IGT Winchester team management opted to blood their youngsters against Bristol in the belief that their desire and enthusiasm would see them take valuable points and move them up the table. A decent crowd turned up to support and were hoping for rather than expecting a win as the opening announcements from Billy Kerr as Master of Ceremonies indicated Bristol had brought international players with far more experience.

PSL Round 1 v Exeter - Match Report

Despite road closures, a coach with no clutch and a militant driver who thought the highway code applied strictly to others and not him; the Winchester Massive (WM) arrived in Exeter excited to see the first match of the season.
